Lurilla Locke
Portland resident Lurilla Locke died Jan. 20. She was 96.
Born Lurilla Williams on July 7, 1910, she was a homemaker. She had lived in the Portland area for more than 40 years. Mrs. Locke was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Locke, whom she married in 1957.
She is survived by a daughter, Tarlene Wright.
Funeral was Jan. 27 at Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church, followed by burial in Skyline MemorialGardens. Arrangements by Cox & Cox Funeral Chapel.
Christopher Carter
Lifelong Portland resident Christopher Daryl Carter died Jan. 23. He was 42.
Born on June 30, 1963, in Portland, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his mother, A. Lynn Carter, of Sandy, Ore.; by his father, John M. Carter, of California; and by his sister, Tracey Lynn Relf, of Gresham.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 2 at Cox & Cox Funeral Chapel, followed by private burial.
