Delayed but never denied!??

Sha’Carri Richardson won the 100-meter final at the Olympic trials this weekend, securing her spot on the US Olympic team for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics—her first time competing in the Games.

The 24-year-old track star @itsshacarri finished with a time of 10.71 seconds, the fastest 100m in the world this year. Her training partners, Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry, also earned their places at the Paris Olympics, finishing second and third, respectively.

This is a full-circle moment for Richardson, who missed the Tokyo Olympics after winning the US trials in 2021 but was unable to compete due to a suspension.

Congrats, Sha’Carri! We can’t wait to cheer you on in Paris this summer!?
