Going to the dentist can be scary and intimidating, but two dentists in Charlotte, North Carolina, are hoping to double the fun and education their patients receive every time they step into their office or visit their viral social media pages.

Doctors Lindsay Rennick Salone and Lauren Rennick Lockhart are identical twin sisters who are a dentist and an orthodontist, respectively. The pair are known online as “The Twintists,” and they use their social media platforms to promote positive representation of women of color in dentistry, provide insider dental tips, and share inspiration to help viewers live life smiling.

They’ve opened three dental and orthodontic practices  in their hometown of Charlotte called “Dual Image Dentistry and Orthodontics,” a reference to their twin sisterhood and the services they provide.

“Our patients say they feel right at home, we make people feel as though we’ve known them forever,” Dr. Rennick Salone said in an appearance on WCNC Charlotte. “We make it an anxiety-free environment, just the way we talk to them and reassure our patients that they’re in good hands.”

“We always say, ‘Let our family treat your family, and we will treat you as family,’” added Dr. Rennick Lockhart.

The Twintists come from a family of healthcare providers. Their father is a physician, their mother is a nurse, and their older sister is a dental hygienist. They’re also married to doctors, one to a physical therapist and the other to an orthodontist who is also a partner in Dual Image. All three Dual Image doctors have been named as Charlotte’s top dentists in 2020.

In addition to being amazing dentists, each twin is also a rockstar mom. They both have three children each and often showcase their family shenanigans on their Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where over 30,000 followers can see their family lifestyle, their dental tips, and even their talented singing!

“We’ve always been children who thought about what our future was going to look like,” the twins said of their success story on Instagram. “What you pour into your child now can help mold them into a successful adult.”
