Dionne Warwick got $30,000 of brand new computer equipment from electronics Hewlett-Packard for students at her old school in East Orange, New Jersey, formerly known as Lincoln, but renamed the Dionne Warwick Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship in her honour in 1996.

She used her soul power to land top-class computer equipment, software and free online training courses.  She hooked Hewlett-Packard by using a HP laptop for writing her memoirs "My Life, as I See It."

The computer lab was opened Sept 16 2010 and the kids were amazed by the new equipment at their fingertips. "When the students came, they were like 'wow'. It's going to open up a whole new world for them." says teacher Sharon Giles.
