Jack Tatum, the Oakland Raiders defensive back legend who was known as the Assassin, died Tuesday in Oakland, Calif. after suffering a heart attack.
Tatum was most famous for paralyzing Patriots wide receiver Darryl Stingley in a 1978 preseason game. The hit lead to a change in NFL rules.
